Anke Gaksch, Lead Designer
Anke is an award-winning graphic designer who understands that clear and digestible designs are critical to equity-focused projects. She has more than 15 years of experience in creating and culturally adapting multilingual design projects. She is highly skilled in print design and publishing and brings a wealth of knowledge to the intricacies of typesetting for foreign language publications, including in Arabic, Khmer, Hindi, and Thai. For the past ten years, Anke has managed the graphic production of the San Francisco Voter Information Pamphlet and related election materials, overseeing the 7-language typesetting process and ensuring user-friendly and ADA-compliant design.
Anke holds graduate degrees in Print and Media Design, specializing in New Media and in Graphic and Communication Design, as well as a User Research certification from UC Berkeley Extensions. She is bilingual in German and English. When Anke is not working, you can find her planning her next camping adventure with her family.
