CASE STUDY
Branding and Engagement
for TIDA Relocation Services
Relocation efforts can be a stressful, difficult process with potential for great miscommunication, especially when language barriers are present. InterEthnica developed a comprehensive communications strategy for the Treasure Island Development Authority (TIDA) relocation efforts to ensure households felt supported during the process and were accurately informed of their options.
As a first step, InterEthnica designed a brand identity for TIDA for easy visual recognition and developed the Transition Housing Handbook, a reference guide that distilled complex housing rules and regulations into everyday language.
InterEthnica led community council meetings, hosted open houses in English and Spanish, monitored a dedicated in-language phone line, and developed FAQs, factsheets, letters, mailers, doorhangers, and eblasts in English, Spanish, Chinese, and Korean. By prioritizing open and transparent communication, InterEthnica engaged with all eligible households on Treasure Island, successfully helping residents navigate a smooth pathway to relocation.
